Penmarric by Susan Howatch
Book Number:RC 24511
704 pages on 20 sides
read by Patrick Horgan
Set against the harsh wilderness of Cornwall, this biting novel centers on
brutally self-centered Mark Castallack, his women, and the lives of his
legitimate and illegitimate children from the 1890’s through World War II.
Some strong language and explicit descriptions of sex.
This is the first book by Susan Howatch I've read. I don't know how I've
gone this long without reading her books. I loved it. Full of historical
descriptions, wonderful settings and a good long story, just my cup of tea.
I give it a 5 out of 5.
Happy reading,
